As we finish our study of The West, we will be viewing the PBS series (from 2001) FRONTIER HOUSE. A series that shares what happens when 3 families go out to Montana to try and live like it is 1883 on the frontier. Could you do it? Baking on a stove or fire, chopping wood all the time, feeding and caring for the animals...milking the cow, feeding the chickens, slaughtering the chickens...etc. Some things that people in our current time don't have to think about, because it is readily available in the grocery store.
