Chinese New Year: The Year of the OX

Chinese New Year Celebration

The Night was a HUGE success! Thanks to all of those who participated and who attended our Chinese New Year celebration! We had around 400-450 people in attendance! It was outstanding! Without a doubt some of the hightlights were the Lion Dancers (see the videos below) and the student performances!

Listed here is an outline of the night's entertainment!


LION DANCE/Drum performance






Mrs. Pittman Welcomes the more than 400 guests and entertainers to J.T. Moore, and then gives a New Year Hong Bow to the Lions in the video below.




- J.T. Moore 7th graders will present the ANIMALS of the CHINESE ZODIAC

INTERMISSION

Enjoy some samples of green tea, and Chinese cookies in the lobby, and take some time to enjoy some of the Chinese art (peasant paintings, Taoist monk painting) and photographs taken by Mr. Beavers this past summer in China. Also work artwork and caligraphy produced by J.T. Moore students.
